Here is a case study from Baltimore, MD. This particular customer has BGE as their utility and they wanted us to walk them through the easy online shopping process.

This customer was under contract with another supplier for natural gas at $1.41 per therm. After we entered their information into our online shopping tool, we were able to find them a new rate at 48 cents per therm. That is a savings of almost $1.00 per therm for the same gas they are going to use anyway!

Here’s how the savings broke down:

  • 93 cents savings per therm
  • This customer uses on average 760 therms per month
  • 760 x 0.93 = $706 less on their bill per month
  • That’s $8,472 les per year they will pay for their gas bill

We had them call their current provider to see if there were any cancellation fees and in this case, there were no cancellation fees. This customer was able to enroll into their new agreement and started saving money immediately.
